You can select the colours and the theme of your artwork. Some want it to be a subtle nod to the placenta and so it is disguised inside a piece of artwork. Others want the natural blood print without colour.
For those wanting to consume the placenta afterwards a barrier film is used over the placenta to stop any inks or paint being absorbed.
